Out of concern for the environment, as well as to ensure product quality, wab_sab_ offers both reusable and refillable types of packaging for our Japanese teas.
Our reusable packaging is a steel container and the refillable packaging is a zippered stand pack. There is no difference in the content/quality of the tea leaves. All products are vacuum nitrogen-filled by each farmer by hand to ensure that freshness and aroma do not degrade during shipping.
Our steel containers are crafted in Japan, and most of the manufacturing is done by hand. An airtight double-layered cap maintains the quality of the tea leaves.
Our refill packs use eco-friendly packaging that uses some plant-derived raw materials. These packs are also resealable, so they can be used to store tea for a short period of time.
If you are a new customer, you can first try a refill pack and if you like our tea, you can buy a reusable steel container and continue to fill it with refill packs for many years to come.
What is the best way to store tea?
If unopened, the tea can be stored in the refrigerator or freezer for up to one year. If you open the package while it is cold, it may cause the tea leaves to become damp, so please ensure the package is at room temperature before opening. After opening the package, store the tea in an airtight container and keep it away from heat, humidity, and direct sunlight. As long as it is prevented from exposure to moisture, the tea will not go bad. However, if it is stored at room temperature without being sealed after opening, it will lose its freshness, taste and aroma in about a week.
We sell our products in small quantities in order to ensure that they are consumed in the best possible condition after opening.
*About our Reusable Steel Containers As our reusable containers are handcrafted, they may have small scratches and dents. Also, please note that the color of individual cans may differ.
